- ➤ A Macomb County nonprofit called WAVE Project is asking for donations to raise $68,000 over 23 days so it can keep its overnight winter shelter open 7 days a week for 12 weeks at Trinity Christian Community Center in Warren—these funds pay for security and heating—to help hundreds facing homelessness. - ➤ Sterling Heights officials launched the 47th annual Ken Stempowski Memorial Food Drive on November 3 to honor a former DPW employee by collecting food donations for the Community Food Bank of Macomb County.
