EDUCATION NEWS

  • DeKeyser Elementary reopened on Aug. 24 after a renovation funded by a $550 million bond issue that added safety doors, updated technology and flexible classroom spaces. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Aug. 19, the Sterling Heights City Council approved an ordinance that allows residents to install solar panels in selected zoning districts — the panels must follow strict height and setback limits to reduce glare and require a permit for installation.
