- ➤ U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at Detroit Metro Airport seized 52 pounds of bushmeat — including monkey meat and skulls — from a traveler from Central Africa on August 26th and inspected the items for signs of pests and disease to protect agriculture. FOX 2 Detroit
- ➤ Sterling Heights Police said overdose deaths dropped 50% from their 2021 peak—records show a 63% fall in overdoses—and that a new approach with quick response teams and a Redirect Program achieving a 53% success rate is helping lower the crisis. FOX 2 Detroit
