- ➤ A Georgia man named Kelly Umana was charged for scamming a Shelby Township woman out of over $100,000 by falsely claiming her social security number was misused + police in Roswell arrested him and he now is held in Macomb County jail. WXYZ

- ➤ Heavy rain led to flash flooding warnings in Oakland and Macomb counties yesterday. In Oakland Township, water covered streets and entered businesses—one building recorded 4 inches of water—as sheriff’s deputies closed roads and urged drivers to take alternate routes. WXYZ

- ➤ Municipalities across metro Detroit will hold several races in the Aug. 5 primary election, with cities and townships — including Sterling Heights — set to elect local leaders. Voters will soon have a broad ballot featuring contests that could shape community governance. WXYZ
