  • New Baltimore is celebrating its 60th Ray-Bama Fish Fly Festival, a five-day event that began Wednesday and will run through the weekend — the festival features carnival rides, games, live music, and fun events. Every dollar raised supports local projects — Bay Rama Inc. has donated over $2 million in community funds to date.  WXYZ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sterling Heights agreed to pay nearly $3 million to resident Maisaa Kada after Officer Richard Clark hit her car near Stevenson High School without using lights or sirens, causing her car to flip and leaving her with serious injuries + she needed emergency rescue and multiple surgeries.  The Detroit News

HEALTH NEWS

  • A 73-year-old pastor is walking 50 kilometers in 50 states in 50 days to inspire seniors to stay active and has already completed 35 states including a stop at Rivergate Health Care Center in Riverview (his Michigan visit). He plans to finish his journey by July 4 and hopes his mission shows that age does not limit fitness.  WXYZ
