104-year-old Sterling Heights veteran Jack Jones, who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was chosen as the grand marshal for the city’s 2025 Memorial Day parade.
The parade had over 60 entries and a flyover by historic Tuskegee Airmen World War II aircraft — a key honor for Jones — as local residents paid tribute to veterans.
