A Canadian restaurateur’s plan to open a high-end steak and sushi bar with an adjoining hookah lounge at the former Chili’s on Hall Road was postponed at the May 13 planning meeting over procedural concerns (only five of nine commissioners attended) and will be revisited at the June meeting.

Stan Yee was a pioneering race car builder known for his fast and innovative cars marked with No.33; his legacy is honored today at Stan Yee’s Collision Inc. in Eastpointe (where his son preserves his memory).
