Good morning, Sterling Heights.

Sterling Heights will debut the new Athletic Hub later this summer at the renovated Van Dyke Avenue site near 15 Mile Road.

The city-owned facility offers pickleball and table tennis courts, a pro shop, and a self-serve cafe — free for residents with available loaner equipment.

Gas prices in Sterling Heights may soon top $4.50 per gallon as wholesale rates climb 40 cents, GasBuddy reports.

Refinery issues are behind the surge, and similar increases are expected across Michigan and nearby states.

DTE Energy is asking the Michigan Public Service Commission to approve nearly $500 million in rate increases—this follows a $250 million hike on March 6—and will pause further hikes until 2028 if its data center projects are finished by late next year.
