- ➤ Macomb County law enforcement arrested a suspect in a Troy hospital parking garage shooting within three hours by tracking him to a Macomb Township home—neighbors and local schools were locked down to ensure safety, and the victim, a 25-year-old hospital employee, is in stable condition. WXYZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Warren resident Paul Kardasz filed ethics complaints on March 11 against Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Deputy County Executive Tom Lehrer, Hackel’s chief of staff Kim Elward, and contractor Anne Nicolazzo for allegedly failing to disclose campaign payments—an act he said undermines public trust. Macomb County Corporation Counsel John Schapka confirmed the Ethics Board received the complaints, and one official expects they will be dismissed soon. The Detroit News
