- ➤ At a Feb. 3 City Council meeting, City Manager Mark Vanderpool noted census data showing Sterling Heights ranked No. 7 statewide for median income at $81,102 and No. 1 in Macomb County for overall property valuation at $6.3 billion — strong indicators of the city's economic prosperity.
